FOE Editorial Board Meeting

Frontiers of Optoelectronics (FOE) is one of the international academic journals in the “Frontiers” serials supervised by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is jointly published by Higher Education Press of China and Springer-Verlag GmbH of Germany with both online and printed versions. It is sponsored by Higher Education Press (HEP) of China, Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST) and the Chinese Optical Society (COS), and organized by Wuhan National Lab for Optoelectronics (WNLO). The editors-in-chief are Academician Qihuang Gong from Peking University and Prof. Xinliang Zhang from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

FOE journal aims at introducing the most recent research results and the cutting edge improvements in the area of photonics and optoelectronics. It is dedicated to be an important platform for rapid communication and exchange between researchers in the related areas. It has been indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Ei Compendex, SCOPUS, INSPEC, Google Scholar, CSA, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), OCLC, SCImago and Summon by ProQuest.

In the recent years, the Chinese government vigorously advocates the development of world-class academic journals and advanced knowledge services system to better serve the comprehensive development of various disciplines. The rapid development of domestic optical journals has brought severe challenges to the development of FOE. To take the advantage of the opportunity of the 12th International Photonics and OptoElectronics Meetings (POEM 2019) that brings together a wide range of research, technologies and perspectives in the fields of photonics and optoelectronics, FOE plans to hold Editorial Board Meeting at Nov. 12, 2019 during POEM 2019 (Wuhan, Nov. 11-14). Future development directions, market strategies and main tasks of FOE will be discussed from the perspective of internationalization. This meeting will be of the most importance for FOE journal to better serve the development of photonics and optoelectronics, better respond to the development strategies of academic journals in China, and meet the challenges in the new development tide of optical journals.
